Society for the Experimental Analysis of Behavior
The Society for the Experimental Analysis of Behavior (SEAB) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 1957. SEAB is an independent scientific society dedicated to advancing the experimental analysis of behavior through scientific publishing, research, education, and philanthropic support.
Advancing behavior analysis as a natural science
SEAB's mission is to encourage, foster, and promote the advancement of behavior analysis; support research in behavior analysis; and increase and diffuse knowledge of behavior analysis. The Society promotes research that is innovative and impactful, with particular emphasis on behavioral processes that can be studied experimentally at the level of unique individuals.
SEAB carries out this mission through the publication and management of the Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior (JEAB) and the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis (JABA), as well as through philanthropic programs supporting education, research, and the next generation of behavior analysts.
Scientific publishing and philanthropy
SEAB supports the development and dissemination of behavior-analytic science through its two scholarly journals and through grants and scholarships that advance research and education.

Financial support for doctoral students in behavior analysis who have demonstrated excellence in research.
Serving behavior analysis since 1957
SEAB was founded in 1957 to support the development, publication, and advancement of the experimental analysis of behavior. Over the decades, the Society's journals and philanthropic activities have helped strengthen the scientific foundations of behavior analysis and expand the reach of behavior-analytic research.
